A band that has been on the road for more than 15 years, EDDIE comes from the
historic town of Olinda, in Pernambuco - Brazil - a breeding ground of
bands and artists like Alceu Valença and Chico Science & Nação
Zumbi.
EDDIE is an important part of a broader cultural scene – The
Mangue Beat Movement – a youth culture movement that arose in Pernambuco
during the 1990’s. Their sonority is light and loose, like the carnival
of Olinda, an inspiring source of all the compositions of the band.
EDDIE’s
music is a mixture of rock’n’roll, reggae, dub, samba and frevo.
On tour with Outro Brasil in 2007-2008.
