"Original Olinda Style"


A band that has been on the road for more than 15 years, EDDIE comes from the historic town of Olinda, in Pernambuco - Brazil - a breeding ground of bands and artists like Alceu Valença and Chico Science & Nação Zumbi.

EDDIE is an important part of a broader cultural scene – The Mangue Beat Movement – a youth culture movement that arose in Pernambuco during the 1990’s. Their sonority is light and loose, like the carnival of Olinda, an inspiring source of all the compositions of the band.

EDDIE’s music is a mixture of rock’n’roll, reggae, dub, samba and frevo. On tour with Outro Brasil in 2007-2008.

EDDIE's Cd “Original Olinda Style” was relesed in april 2007 with great success, due to their "hit" Pode me Chamar aired on main french radios and danced on in '07 summer heat.

It gathers 16 tracks from the 2 cds released in Brazil by the band: "Original Olinda Style " & "Metropolitano". AVAILABLE ON ITUNES AND OTHER MAJOR PLATFORMS!
